Coming home: Home is so much more than a warm bed and a comfy couch. It's that feeling of acceptance, security and connection that can be hard to describe.
But, through personal stories, the Lafayette Storytellers Project is going to try.
The Lafayette Storytellers Project started with the idea that oral storytelling and journalism are dedicated to the same goals: Serving and reflecting our community and helping each other feel more connected.
The more people feel connected to each other – through meaningful and entertaining personal stories – the more they will feel connected to their city and inspired to contribute to making it a better place.
We're still looking for tellers! If you have a story to share around the theme of Coming Home, please email Kristin Askelson at [email protected].
We’ve partnered with Cox Communications because they believe in the power of sharing stories, too.
Special thanks to our host and partner, Acadiana Center for the Arts who shares our vision of community connecting.
