When is Gulf Brew 2008 held?
July 19, 2008. Doors open at 3 p.m. for VIP ticket holders. Doors open at 4 p.m. for Taster Ticket and Non-Taster ticket holders. The 1st band will perform from 4 to 8 p.m. The breweries will stop serving samples at 8 p.m. The 2nd band will perform from 8 to 10 p.m. Beer trucks will continue to sell beer from 8 to 10 p.m. Where is the event held?
Gulf Brew 2008 will be held outdoors in Parc International (200 Garfield Street) in Downtown Lafayette, Louisiana, which is located behind the Children’s Museum of Acadiana between Polk Street, Congress Street and Jefferson Street. Where can I find parking?
In addition to lots of street parking surrounding Parc International, there is a parking tower located on Vermilion Street between Jefferson Street and Lee Street. What are Rain Angels?
Like all of our sponsors, Rain Angels insure that Gulf Brew will continue, come rain or shine! In addition to supporting the event, Rain Angels receive special benefits, including access for five (5) to the VIP tasting hour prior to the public opening as well as to the main event, free draft beer, reserved parking near Parc International, signature merchandise, an annual membership to the AcA at the Partner Level, and more. ASK FOR THE GULF BREW RATES. ROOM RATES ARE GUARANTEED THROUGH JULY 8, 2008. Can I buy advanced tickets?
YES! And it is strongly encouraged. The more accurate number we have of guests to Gulf Brew, the better we can assure that we will not run low on samples. But act fast because advance ticket sales end exactly one week before the festival on July 12 at 8 p.m. Does Gulf Brew accept credit cards or checks?
Yes! We accept all credits cards except American Express. You may pay with cash, check or credit card at the door. We will also have an ATM on site. What are the appropriate forms of ID needed to get in?
Gulf Brew will accept:
1. Driver’s license with a photo from any state
2. Current passport
3. DMV identification card
4. Military ID card
All forms of ID must include a picture and the year of birth. Can I bring my child?
If your child is at least 18, then yes! Otherwise, book your babysitter. This event is for those 18 years of age and older. When do the taps shut down?
The Brewery Samples will end at 8 p.m. Please stay and enjoy the second live band and the beer trucks until 10 p.m.! Is there any food on site?
Gulf Brew will offer several food options, including vegetarian dishes. Check back for more info. What about designated drivers or folks who do not drink?
Designated drivers or folks who will not taste samples can enter the festival with a Non-Taster Ticket for $10. What is the re-entry policy?
You may re-enter the festival as long as you still have on your wristband. NO EXCEPTIONS! Can I bring my own food or beverages into the festival?
No, outside food and beverages are not allowed. Can I bring my dog?
No, pets are not allowed. What if it rains on the day of Gulf Brew?
No problem! The event is covered by more than 3,600 square feet of tents. Enjoy Gulf Brew, rain or shine! Who do I contact if I have questions?
