Current Funding Period: November 1, 2014 to October 15, 2015

This Lafayette Consolidated Government sponsored, Acadiana Center for the Arts administered, Arts and Culture Funding Program is designed to support arts projects and the operations of arts and culture organizations that will significantly enhance the arts and cultural life of the community, while promoting local artists and the arts in Lafayette Parish.

Eligible applicants are non-profit arts and culture organizations based in Lafayette Parish, whose purpose is to develop, promote, encourage and/or present arts and culture to the public.

This arts and culture funding program has two different grant categories:

1. Operations Grant  (range $1,000 to $10,000) - may be used for expenses such as professional salaries, employee benefits, transportation, supplies and materials, telephone, utilities, postage, travel and meetings, rent, equipment/maintenance, and insurance

2. Project Grant (range $1,000 to $7,500) for projects to include (but not limited to): performances, exhibits, classes, workshops, technical assistance, and the creation of new art works

Please keep in mind, this is a competitive program, an application may or may not be funded, dependent on the number of applicants, the amount of award money available and the application score based on the evaluation criteria. The acceptance of an application does not intend to imply that it will be automatically funded.

The AcA welcomes panelist nominations from all parts of Lafayette Parish.
Grants panelists review the submitted applications and make funding recommendations to be presented to the AcA Board of Directors, then to the Lafayette City-Parish Council for final approval.
