AcA is proud to host the American Association of Community Theatre Region VI Festival from April 6-8, 2017.
AACTFest 2017 Region VI is a five-state competition with state-winning theater groups from New Mexico, Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas competing for a chance to advance to the National finals later this Spring. Louisiana did not field an entry this year. Competiton rules require companies to adhere to strict guidelines: each play must be performed in under 60 minutes, all sets have to be installed and de-installed in under 10 minutes and all traveling sets have to fit in a 10’x10’ box! This will make for a unique audience experience, full of fast-paced excitement and suspense. Visiting theater groups perform at the highest level and at the end of the competition one winner will be crowned.
The AcA will also host an array of events to entertain our guests and connect to the community.
Join us to see performances by our talented guests! Shows are presented in blocks of 2 performances each. Each ticket block is $15, or $12 for students.
Friday, April 7th:
